Uncle Musae ‘Levy’ is greedy after the Spurs win UCL tickets

José Mourinho has hit out at Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy for being greedy after the club won the Europa League. Four years have passed since he was sacked as Spurs manager.

Ange Postecoglou led Spurs to a 1-0 win over Manchester United in the final in Bilbao on Wednesday to secure a place in next season’s Champions League. Mourinho

was sacked by Levy in April 2021, just days before Spurs were to play Manchester City in the Carabao Cup final, leaving the club without a trophy for the first time since 2002. The

62-year-old Mourinho was quick to take a jab at his former boss. Asked about the impact Spurs would have by winning their first trophy in 17 years,

Mourinho told Sky Sports: “The impact is clear. Tottenham are in the Champions League and of course for Mr Levy the millions that the Champions League has given him. It’s the best news. “

For the fans, for the players, for Ange, it’s a championship.”

Mourinho has previously criticised Levy over his abrupt sacking.

“The most ridiculous thing is for a club that has nothing to trophy to sack me two days before a final,” he said.

“Spurs haven’t won anything in 50 years, I think. I’m in here two days before a final and I’m not in charge. It’s… not okay.”

Daniel Levy has been criticised for being too profit-minded during his two decades in charge, and many Spurs fans have protested against his management this season.
